Longer term, I'm looking for a solution to maximize WiFi throughput and have good stability on my phone or tablet.

I am looking for some good advice on how to get my system stabilized in the short-term - maybe split the WiFi bands? so that my phone and tablet work stably with dropping WiFi. I believe that the BGW210 cable modem is assigning some sort of dynamic DNS and the multiple bands are causing trouble with the connections. To me this is not a good stable solution no matter what ATT says about it. It also comes back in the logs with "connection refused" On top of all of this, my AirVPN service refuses to connect to my new BGW210 ATT cable modem. If I turn off and on WiFi on my phone (or tablet) a few times it sometimes comes back for awhile, but then will be back off later. It will run for awhile then unexpectedly drop - phone sees the ATT SSID and attempts to connect to it, but the system says "connection refused" or sometimes I get "no DNS " type errors.

What is extremely annoying to me is the usability of their WiFi system with my phone and tablet. WiFi is ok when it's working (170 to 220 mbps with Ookla) in my home. Switched from Cox (my own gear) to ATT (w/ their BGW210-700 fiber modem and a fiber connection to it) with their max Gigbyte plan.
